I don't know what happened but my link for my "power point to movie" only goes to teacher web not directly to my movie. Here is an updated link.

Dale's Cone of Experience

I went back to check my links and this document vanished. I tried to re-attach it in the original post but got the message that it was a "bad command". I will attach it here so that it will be part of my blog page. Dale's Cone of Experience

Web Quest

I have thoroughly enjoyed making my WebQuest. I chose a 3rd grade science lesson with most of the emphasis on the planets. There are links to each planet with a printable information sheet for the students to complete. I also would have the students write a short essay about an astronaut of their choice and then end the quest with an activity page link that includes some games. Here is my webquest.

Power point to movie

This was an exciting project! I'm already looking forward to having my 3rd graders make a power point movie next year. I built the ppt for my movie based on my podcast. It was for a first grade social studies lesson. I did have a little trouble getting it to load but I think it is working now. Where in the World am I?

Rubric

What a great site. I have made rubric pages for classroom activities and will definitely use this again. In our elementary classrooms we are required to have small group learning center time at least 3 times a week. Many of the teachers have a library center where students select their own book, read it, and them report back to the teacher or class. This rubric will help guide the expectations at that reading center.

jeopardy game

I chose to make my jeopardy game based on my podcast lesson. Once I figured out how to work with the template it was fun! I know students would enjoy reviewing the lesson with this game! I have used a jeopardy game in class before but not through power point. Using technology adds an element of excitement and interest. Try out the game!

power point presentation

I chose to use a power point presentation that I have presented in trainings several times. My job requires that I train parents to go into the classroom for read-aloud sessions. The power point give several ideas on getting and keeping student's attention while reading. It also gives ideas to make text real to them in their everyday lives.
When I uploaded it to google docs the animation and sounds were all deleted but I don't know how to change that so here it is anyway. My power point presentation.
